Hey People...

Hello... tired again.
My mum and I went to Albury today. We got up at 5 and left at 7 am. And now I am sooo tired, I spent most of my day on my feet walking around shopping centers. Good news, we found Ayala's birthday present, and though I cant tell you what it is because of the risk she might read this, I can tell you it is big, lol!!
I got a new classical CD set, it has about 5 composers on it. One of the sonatas went for 20 minutes!
While I finished my first course activity (going to a bookshop) I came up with an idea for another book, except I probably shouldn't tell you because I haven't asked the person it concerns. All I can tell you is that it is already written.
Well got to go. Till next time!

Fog glorious fog (dripping with sarcasm)

No I didn't get the Oliver Twist song mixed up. But right now all I can see out my window is a white wall. So yeah I guess you could call it a white out, except that its fog not snow.
Well I guess I made up for posting three times on Monday, lol! Yesterday I decided that I had more important things to write than a blog post. Except that I couldn't think of what to write. I think I mentioned that I am entering the Elaine Mitchell Rural Women's Writing award competition. I thought I had better make a start on my entry, even though it doesn't have to be entered until the end of June. I have to write a story either fiction or non-fiction under 2,500 words, and the only real rule is that it has to have the theme of rural women. I know... this should be soo easy for me, and I really don't know why it isn't. I just cant seem to think of anything to write. My mum wants me to write a non-fiction story about something that has happened to me. Maybe that's the problem, I seem to be writing to please other people when I know usually what other people want is something I cant stand. Yesterday I managed to write 1,121 words but it was horrid, I ended up deleting the whole lot cos I hated it.
Well I have to go, some cows have found their way onto the road and I have to go rescue them before somebody runs into them.
Till next time

A young maidens daybook

Yeah, yeah, I know I was going to go a write some but I completely forgot to do the Young Maidens Day book, so here goes:
Today.... Monday, May 4
Outside my window... Its sunny, I can see my Dad seeding the paddock at the end of our farm.
I am thinking.... That the leaves on the tree outside my window are red and that my sister is going to turn 18 in nine days
I am thankful for.... For warm sunny days and my family
I am wearing.... Dark blue jeans and a black long sleeved shirt rolled up to my elbows.
I am reading.... Nothing right now I am in between books
I am creating.... Colourful butterfly loom thingys
One of my favourite things.... sleep
For education this week.... Math, English, writing course... my school isn't exactly demanding right now.
A keeper at home skill I am using/learning.... Cooking
A spiritual lesson I'm learning.... Patience.
A godly character trait I plan to work on.... meekness
Scripture I am memorizing.... I don't have one right now
I am praying for.... someone who asked me to pray for them, and someone who didn't.
For the rest of the week.... School work, farm work, house work, writing work, a trip to Albury one day, a trip to Cudgewa.
A picture I'd like to share.... I don't have one this week

And now I promise not to post again today, lol!

The rest of Monday :)

To answer your question Cassie, yes my day got better. I did some school work, it was all about outlining stuff so it was really interesting, because I have to do an outline in my course so I get taught how to do it before jumping headlong into something I have never done before :)!
After school I decided if I was going to do anything I had to start at base, my desk, it has gotten a little messy over the last couple of weeks. So I went through all my papers, note pads, old letters, and school books and chucked what wasn't any use anymore and stacked the others in an old tin. But I really need to do something with all the wool that I have collected over the years, does anybody have any ideas (other than crochet or knit)? I have a butterfly loom but there is a LOT of wool so I may get very sick of making butterfly loom thingys.
That's about all up until now.
I am planning on doing writing after I finish this, then probably start on dinner and then it will almost be time to end the day... so all in all it would have been a pretty boring day had all the excitement not happened early this morning. :D Hope all you in America get a much better Monday than I did!

Monday...

I hate Monday's... well... not hate but very much dislike... actually when I think about it I actually like Monday's, but I don't like this one.
This morning I slept in and didn't hear the alarm, then my Dad came in and told me to get on the motor bike and get down the paddock because we had two cows down, one with milk fever and the other one... well personally I think she was just plain lazy, but its an undetermined illness. It is cold this morning so about every couple of hundred meters I had to stop and warm my hands up because they really felt like they were going to drop off, they hurt that much (remind me to invest in some warm gloves next time!).
Then, some of the lovely wonderful cows (not), decided to get into the wrong paddock and so we had to get them out, but thankfully my Dad told me to drive the car, which I had never done before, he showed me how (shock, that I didn't already know how to drive, written all over his face). Anyway, the cows, decided to be good (so very sarcastic), and run the opposite way they were supposed to, then (another lazy cow!) on the only slope on the property one cow decided to sit down and she wouldn't move!
That isn't the end of the mishaps from this morning but just a few. I wont bore you with the whole lot, but did I mention that the kettle wont work!! :( All this has happened and it is only 9:10 AM!!
Right now I am feeling like falling asleep, but no such luck, school work is waiting :(
Till next time!

Saturday Afternoon thoughts

I am tired... I don't think you are actually supposed to get up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning.
After posting this morning I sat on the side of the road for an hour again, I got half a book read, but then I was being bad and not writing any on my book, even though I had taken my pad and pen with me. Sitting on the side of the road isn't bad, just extremely boring and it gets cold when you are sitting there in a frost, thankfully there wasn't one this morning.
After that riveting hour, I came home, and my dad was looking for 'someone' to help him, when Ayala volunteered, he told her "No I meant Kath!", you can imagine what I was feeling like right at that moment.
This weekend we are looking after the Paul kids, their parents went on a holiday for their anniversary so since they milked for us last weekend so we could go to Grandpa's birthday, we are looking after their kids for them. So instead of the serene quiet we usually experience it has been a bit noisy. But we don't really mind because sometimes serene quiet can get to be gratingly boring.
Well got to go, till next time!

Saturday morning thoughts

mmm... right now there haven't been many thoughts for today, so I may be forced to just fill up this space with some stuff from yesterday.Yesterday morning I spent an hour sitting beside the road watching our cows eat grass, not a fun job but if I hadn't have been there it would have been completely illegal for our cows to be there, not that there was much I could do if something went wrong (ie. car ran into cow and either killed the cow and/or wrecked the car) but thankfully nothing like that happened.
And since I had taken a book, a note pad and a pen I wasn't bored. When I got sick of reading I got out my pen and note pad and started writing the introduction for my book. I can just hear you now 'What book? I didn't know she was writing a book?' well that is because I didn't tell anybody.
For my writing course I had to write ideas for books, and for the next assignment I have to outline my book and take a chapter from 'my book' and outline it. I don't know about you but that sounds like I have to write it. And when I sent my last assignment in to my tutor, she was talking like I was already in the process of writing it! So it was kinda an accident, but seeing as though I wanted to write in the first place it just came a bit quicker than I thought it would.
'My book', is going to be stories from my grandfather's life, my Dad's life and my life on farms, so I have all the words in my head all I have to do is put it on paper.
I don't think I will need to post any of it here because a bit of it is already here, when ever I post about the farm and stuff like that you are reading some of what may become my book.
I'll be keeping you updated on how I am going. Till next time!
